Just head on over to your current web page and ask the following questions:

  • Does your page include a clear company mission and distinct company values?
  • Do you explain your benefits, perks, or positive work atmosphere?
  • Are there appealing photos and videos, or ones of low quality and value?
  • Is it clear what it’s like to work in your company?
  • What features make you lose interest in viewing your own website?
  • Is it easy to see where someone would apply?

From here, you can tweak your page — and make it as captivating as possible.

2. Enhance it with key elements

By designing a page with engaging information, a great lay out, and an easy way to get in touch, candidates will notice the positives of working for you — and will want to join in on the fun.

To maximise the page visitors that turn into interested candidates, be sure to share key information.

Consider including:

  • Your mission and vision
  • Your values
  • Your company’s culture and personality
  • Benefits and perks of working for the company
  • Stories and insights from current employees
  • Easy instructions for applying
  • Current job openings
  • Contact information or online form for questions

In addition, you want your page to be engaging and easy to read.

Don’t forget to incorporate:

  • High quality media (i.e. photos and videos)
  • A simple user-friendly design
  • Down to earth language that feels personal rather than scripted
  • A clear call-to-action (i.e. an “apply now” button)
