Hi Bespokers,
This month we are showcasing R U OK? Day and encouraging opening up conversations within our workplaces.
Do you have the feeling that someone you know or care about is “out of sorts, more agitated or withdrawn, or they’re just not themselves”? R U Ok? Day prompts us to “trust that gut instinct and act on it” by starting a conversation.
Their website has some fantastic resources, including a step-by-step approach on how to ask, breaking it down to these 4 steps:
To read about these steps in more detail visit: https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask
As a reminder, we thought we would also share some of our prior popular mental health blogs to keep them front of mind.
And just provide some great links to mental health tools and resources for you
While R U OK? Day will occur on the 8th of September it should really be recognised every day, it is a great opportunity to think about the mission of R U OK and particularly in relation to as a workplace, what are you doing “to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life”.
Or more simply…..what is 1 thing you can do better?
Please share any ideas that you may be doing in your workplace.
